Over 10 Years of Smiles
Logan’s Heart & Smiles has been helping families in the Madison, Wis. area for over 10 years. Throughout theĀ more thanĀ 10 years, we have assisted over 50 families with ramps, fences, handrails, bathroom modifications & accessible walkways.
Joe Herr knows firsthand the difficulties involved in having a handicapped child. Performing everyday activities can be limiting and labor intensive. Often when a family has a handicapped child, resources for necessary home modifications are depleted or simply not available.
With that being said, Logan’s Heart & Smiles has helped put smiles on the following faces:
“I heard about Logan’s through the Family Support and Resource Center. Joe built a ramp in our new house and did a great job; it is a great ramp. We attend the fundraiser in the summer that Joe hosts every year. Joe is a great guy.”
- Noelle S.
“We were at the Taste of Madison in 2005 with Emily when Joe walked up to us and asked why she has to wear leg braces. He gave us a flyer about Logan’s Heart & Smiles and told us about the work he does. He asked us if we would change anything in our house to make it more accessible for Emily, and we told him a therapy/exercise room would be great for Emily because she likes to play inside. Joe had never built one before, but in 2006 he did an amazing job helping us turn our basement into a therapy room with a slide, swing and cabinets. We wanted this room to be a social place where Emily could play and also show off to her friends.”
- Tracey S.
“The fence that Joe built for our family is truly a miracle. Both of our sons have autism and had started running out of the yard into the road. Having a fence not only gives us a piece of mind, it gives the boys a safe secure place to play.”
- Baumgarten Family
“Thanks to great people like you and your foundation, families with special needs kids have a place they can turn to for additions and modifications that can improve the quality of life.”
