PROJECTS THROUGH LOGAN'S HEART AND SMILES

Logan’s Heart & Smiles has been helping children in need throughout Wisconsin since 2002. Since then, we have assisted over 250 children with ramps, fences, handrails, bathroom adaptations, accessible walkways, therapeutic installs, and other custom home modifications.

Logan’s Heart and Smiles team understands performing normal everyday activities can be challenging, dangerous, and labor intensive for both the child and the caregiver. Often when a family has a child with a disability, resources for necessary home modifications are depleted or simply not available and finding an organization to take on the modification is a struggle.

Projects are custom built to each home and child’s needs.

RAMPS

Ramps provide safe access in and out of a home for the child and their caregiver(s).

FENCES

Fences provide security for children that may be a flight risk, are non-verbal, or lack the cognitive awareness for danger. A fence also blocks sensory distractions while allowing outdoor play.

BATHROOM ADAPTATIONS

Bathroom adaptations provide provide safety and accessibility for proper hygiene. Adaptations also allow for independence in the bathroom.

OCCUPATIONAL AND PHYSICAL THERAPY

Home modifications for occupational or physical therapy (OT/PT) may include swings, punching bags, or playsets. These adaptations provide sensory input and/or therapy in the safety and convenience of the child’s home.

BEDS

Custom bed solutions for a child’s individual needs to sleep safely. Bed solutions can also serve as a changing area.

Before & After: Jones's Ramp

Before Logan’s Heart and Smiles, Jones was carried in and out of the house separately from his wheelchair. With his new ramp, Jones and his chair can now safely enter and exit the house together. Plus, Jones can now have his friend Noah over to watch football!

Before & After: Zoe's Playset

Zoe has low muscle tone, which makes it hard to walk let alone climb a ladder into her playset. Logan’s Heart and Smiles removed the ladder and built a staircase with adjustable handrails to grow with Zoe. Not only does this provide her a safe way to access her playset, it is also providing in-home therapy so she can continue to gain strength in her muscles.
